Advanced Work in Japanese Forms is for the initiate - those who know the basic requirements of various Japanese forms, those who are fascinated with the breadth of opportunity allowed by such brief poems, those who want to go deeper with this work. In this eight-week course, students will read and discuss different aspects of Haiku, Tanka, Renga and Haibun; students will also continue to improve their skills as poets.
