Welcome! This is where I'm supposed to tell you a little about me. My name is Suzanne, but I prefer suz. I'm 38 and live in Naples, Florida with my husband, two daughters and one very quiet Poodle. I spent most of my life in New England (Massachusetts and Connecticut) until a collision with a snowplow convinced me that it was time to move on to 'sunny' pastures. I've lived in my little corner of paradise for eight years and love it. My interests have always centered around children and writing. Never one to be limited by choices, I graduated from the University of Connecticut with degrees in both Advertising and Child Psychology. I homeschool my children, have two completed children's manuscripts bouncing between my mailbox and the slush pile of several publishing houses, another sitting on what they tell me is called "the hopper" for a fall line of children's books and am currently struggling with a few plot ideas that I'd like very much to complete. After mentoring four sessions of Fiction 98/99, I was asked to take on the role of Mentor Coordinator and later, F2K Coordinator. What does that mean to you? Probably not all that much. What does that mean to me? Quite a bit. I not only take pride in the course we offer but also in the quality of Mentors who volunteer their time and attention to our students. I'm confident you'll enjoy F2K: Fiction Writing for the New Millennium and must say that the time I spend helping each and every one of you is extremely rewarding. I'm also a Site Guide for WVU, so if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. WVU is a community of writers helping other writers. We want to hear what you have to say. My advice? Relax, enjoy, take chances, push the envelope, but most of all, have fun! ;0) keep writing, suz | ||||
